Samantha Burke
Hello, My name is Samantha Burke and I am the office manager at Scargo School. Before stepping into this role, I spent five wonderful years as a teacher here at Scargo. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with minors in Management and Rhetoric & Writing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I later continued my education at Cape Cod Community College, where I earned my Director’s License. Scargo School holds a special place in my heart, not only as a staff member, but also as a graduate, having attended Scargo myself as a preschooler. I feel deeply connected to this community and am honored to contribute to the nurturing and welcoming environment that makes Scargo so special.

Hi there! I'm Marisa, and l've been teaching since 2009. I'm a proud graduate of Framingham State University, where I earned my degree in Psychology with a minor in Art Studio. I grew up in Westborough, MA, and have called beautiful Cape Cod home since 2016. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll usually find me at the beach with my family, crafting with my two young daughters, or tending to my garden. I love bringing that same creativity and curiosity into my teaching! My favorite classroom moments are filled with music, movement, and hands-on science fun. I'm passionate about helping little learners grow their language skills, independence, and love of learning through play. I can't wait to meet you and your family and share a joyful year of discovery together!

Hi! My name is Ms. Jamie. I grew up on Cape Cod and attended Suffolk University in Boston where I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Sociology. I worked in Human Services in Dorchester and all over Cape Cod! I live in South Yarmouth with my husband and two children, all three of them are Scargo School graduates! I served on the Scargo Board of Directors while my kids attended and have worked at Scargo the last few years. Initially, I worked as a substitute teacher but my Scargo journey led me to full time adventures and learning. I decided to pursue my early education certification because I realized this is where my passion and happiness lies! I look forward to you joining our Scargo family.

Hi my name is Ms. Kathy! I am a Cape Cod native and currently live in Harwich with my husband Bob and our dog, Romeo. I have 4 daughters, each who attended Scargo School! I have 5 grandchildren, 2 of which attended Scargo as well! I’ve enjoyed working at Scargo School for the past 5 years, earning my early education certification last summer! When I am not at Scargo School, I enjoy the beach, finding sea glass, traveling the world, gardening and time with family and friends. I am so grateful to be a part of the Scargo School family!

Hi, I’m Miss Courtney! I grew up in Ohio and moved to the Cape shortly after graduating from Ohio University. I have enjoyed working with kids of all ages and with different abilities. I have 2 kids who are both Scargo School alumni and I’m lucky to be a part of this community for over 9 years now! I have been teaching here for the last 5 years and learn something new everyday from our kids.

Hi, my name is Miss Trish. I am very excited to be a teacher at Scargo School! After attending Cape Cod Community College, I worked in retail for 44 years and have since retired. I have 3 daughters and 9 grandchildren, who have all enjoyed their preschool education here. I have enjoyed working at Scargo for the last few years and I am very excited to be here to assist, support, and nurture.

Hi, My name is Miss. Brook. I am thrilled to start teaching at Scargo School! I was born and raised on Nantucket Island where my love for teaching all began at the preschool I attended as a child. A few years after I graduated High School I received my lead teacher certification where I taught a variety of different age groups over the years. I moved to Dennisport in 2022 with my two boys, Krew and Easton and their father Patrick. After taking a short leave from teaching to stay home with my youngest son, I am beyond excited to continue my love for teaching at Scargo!

Hi! My name is Miss Gretchen and I started my Scargo School adventure in 2019. Room 3 is one of my favorite places to be! As the school’s science teacher, I get to visit each Scargo classroom twice a month with my Cape Cod Bird Nerd nature & ornithology activities. Outdoors is the best classroom! With years of experience at both CCMNH and Green Briar Nature Center, STEAM-focused learning is my favorite way to teach. Miss Brooke and I are thrilled to be together in Room 3!

Laura Campbell
Hello, My name is Laura and I am a lead teacher here at Scargo. I have three children, all of which have attended and graduated from Scargo. After they had all graduated, I stayed closely connected with the Scargo community, and eventually accepted a position here as an assistant teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in business and went back to school to take classes in early childhood education to gain my teaching certificate. I have been working at Scargo for 6 amazing years and love being a part of the Scargo family. As an assistant teacher at Scargo I often wear many hats, helping in the classrooms, substitute teaching, and even teaching gym classes for the kids!

Reenie Cummins
My name is Reenie, and I’ve always had a deep love for learning and teaching. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State College and earned my Masters in Education from Boston College. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, inspired in part by my grandmother, who was also an educator. At the same time, I felt drawn to working with the elderly, and I spent decades serving the geriatric population before finally following my heart into the world of early childhood education. For the past five years, I’ve worked in the early childhood field on cape cod. I’m excited to bring my passion, energy, and love of learning to the children and families I work with each day.
