About Scargo School
Our Mission Statement and Philosophy
Scargo School is dedicated to providing a safe and caring environment in which children can experience, experiment, and explore. We believe in the value of providing opportunities for children to creatively and joyously express themselves. It is our goal for children to be both nurtured and challenged. We encourage them to take risks and learn about themselves, about others and about their community.
The development and maintenance of the Early Childhood Program is the primary responsibility of the Director. The Director works with the teaching staff to design an age appropriate program. The program is structured around the needs of the children with concern for their interests, special needs and disabilities, cultural backgrounds and individual learning styles.
Our program is designed to foster the development of each child by providing developmentally appropriate opportunities for growth in the areas of social, emotional, cognitive, creative, language and physical development. Our staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing educational environment that accommodates each child’s needs, learning styles, and abilities. We strive to stimulate and encourage each child to be a confident, curious, capable and creative person.

The Scargo Magic
Community Events
Scargo School believes that community is so important for building relationships and developmental growth. Throughout the year we host many community events for the Scargo family. These events include our ice cream social, winter holiday fair, and our newly added end of the year cookout. These events are a great way to build relationships with other families and staff members.
